Learn Sophisticated Research and Analytics Techniques and Work on Top Brands

We seek motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented undergraduates who enjoy learning innovative research techniques and analyzing emerging trends. 

As a First & First Consulting Intern you will combine your attention to detail, creativity, and flexibility to learn how to solve business problems, develop valuable research and create compelling insights for advertising agencies and brands. You will gain exposure to the latest and greatest in research tools while learning from one of the industry’s leading experts in marketing analytics methodologies. 

Leveraging world-class technology to analyze social listening and to gain depth into the demographics and psychographics of audiences is only the start of what we do to provide our clients with insights for their high-profile marketing campaigns. 

Our offices are located in Brooklyn on the border of Gowanus and Park Slope. As we believe you will get the most benefit from your internship by working in close collaboration with the team, we seek students that can work in the office 2, 2.5 or 3 days per week. 

This is an unpaid internship with a Metro NYC travel stipend. Our internship program is in full compliance with New York State and Federal guidelines for unpaid internships.

You will gain experience:

  • Identifying viral consumer trends and insights, curating content, and planning projects within a team environment
  • Utilizing leading social listening, demographics and analytics platforms to extract data and insights
  • Establishing best practices for exporting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets
  • Creating data visualizations for social media content
  • Synthesizing research findings and learning to design engaging content and presentations of your findings

We are looking for: 

  • Marketing, Graphic Design, Business or other research-related majors 
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep interest in culture and trends, with a ravenous appetite for a variety of different types of content
  • Adobe Suite, Google Sheets / Excel skills (e.g., vlookups, pivot tables, data manipulation, conditional formatting), PowerPoint, and Google Suite
  • Students who are reliable, can learn quickly and have strong attention to detail 
  • Willingness to learn in a collaborative environment

This is an unpaid internship for currently enrolled undergraduates who can work in exchange for college credit with the approval by their advisor. Our internship program is conducted in compliance with Federal and New York State Department of Labor regulations.
