The Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking 10 motivated, compassionate Social Services Career Trainees to join our dynamic team at the Northwest Office in Cook County. This is your opportunity to receive comprehensive on-the-job training in public assistance programs that support individuals and families in need.

💼 What You’ll Do:
• Receive hands-on training in managing public assistance cases (TANF, SNAP, Medical Assistance, etc.)
• Inform clients about welfare programs, child support, and work incentives, helping them access vital services
• Evaluate client needs and make referrals to appropriate services to ensure the best outcomes
• Gain experience in tasks like budget computation, eligibility determination, and records updates

📚 What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in social sciences or a related field)
• Passion for social services and a desire to help others
• Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
