Fulbright English Teaching Assistant

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program expands perspectives through academic and professional advancement and cross-cultural dialogue. Fulbright creates connections in a complex and changing world. In partnership with more than 140 countries worldwide, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers unparalleled opportunities in all academic disciplines to passionate and accomplished graduating college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals from all backgrounds.

The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) program places grantees in schools abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETAs help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level.

Applicants for ETA Programs can apply to only one country.

Application process is approximately 12 - 18 months in advance of the start. Applicants are encouraged to work on their applications over the summer with the help of Dr. Tracy Rundstrom, Director of Nationally Competitive Scholarships. Applications are due to TCU by September 4 in order to receive a TCU nomination.
