Part-Time Developer (AI + Web App) – Remote | Matterhorn Coaches
Location: Remote (Company based in NY)
Hours: 8–12 hours/week (flexible)
Compensation: Paid (hourly, commensurate with experience)

About Us:
Matterhorn Coaches is a boutique career and leadership coaching firm that helps individuals at all stages of their professional journey—from college grads to executives and semi-retirees. We are building a technology-enhanced platform to support our clients with personalized insights, AI-driven recommendations, and interactive coaching tools.

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated and tech-savvy college junior/senior or recent grad to help us build a lightweight web app. This app will collect user input (career preferences, skills, values, etc.) and use AI (like OpenAI) to generate personalized assessments and insights.

What You’ll Do:

Develop the front end of the app using HTML/CSS and JavaScript (React is a plus)

Build a simple backend in Python (Flask preferred) to handle logic and data processing

Integrate with the OpenAI API to analyze user input and generate AI-powered recommendations

Help design user-friendly interfaces for coaching exercises and self-assessments

Assist in storing and retrieving data (basic database knowledge is helpful)

Collaborate with the co-founders to brainstorm features and test prototypes

What We’re Looking For:

Proficiency in Python and some experience with Flask or Django

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Interest or experience in using AI tools (OpenAI API, prompt engineering, etc.)

Good communication skills and ability to work independently

Bonus: Experience with React, basic database use (SQLite, Firebase), or UX design
