Social Media Content Creater

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Content Creator to join our growing team and help elevate our online presence.

Position Summary:
We’re seeking a Local Social Media Content Creator to manage and grow our presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Nextdoor. Under the guidance of the Marketing Director, this role will be responsible for creating original content, capturing on-site visuals (photos & videos), posting regularly, engaging with followers, and monitoring performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop engaging, brand-aligned content for our social media platforms (photos, videos, stories, reels, graphics).

Visit job sites, customer locations, or the office to capture real-time content.

Post content consistently according to an editorial calendar set by the Marketing Director.

Write captions and posts that align with the brand voice – confident, professional, and community-focused.

Engage with comments, respond to messages, and help grow our local online community.

Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with ongoing campaigns, promotions, and seasonal topics.

Track engagement and performance metrics; suggest improvements based on data.

Stay up to date on trends in social media and plumbing/home services content.

Qualifications:

Proven experience creating social media content (portfolio or sample posts required).

Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, and short-form video platforms (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).

Comfortable filming and photographing in field/on-site environments.

Basic graphic design or editing skills (Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Suite a plus).

Excellent written communication and grammar skills.

Self-starter who can take direction but also bring new ideas to the table.

Reliable transportation to visit job sites, as needed.

Preferred But Not Required:

Experience in home services or trade industries.

Familiarity with Chico and surrounding areas.

Drone footage or creative video editing experience.

Compensation:
Hourly pay based on experience, with potential for performance-based bonuses. Flexible scheduling with some remote work allowed after training.
