Wetchem Laboratory Analyst
The Wetchem Laboratory Analyst is responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental water and soil samples via a wide-variety of general chemistry analytical testing procedures. These methods may include, but are not limited to, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Alkalinity, Ammonia, Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN), Phosphorus, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), pH, Sulfide, Cyanide, and Total Coliform.
Additional job responsibilities for the Wetchem Laboratory Analyst include:
- Reading, reviewing, and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Preparing reagents and calibration standards.
- Entering analytical data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) once sample analysis has been completed.
- Performing bench-level review of analytical data.
- Performing routine instrument maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking.
- Work well both individually and as part of a group.
- Must be detail-oriented.
