Job Description

Qualified applicants will have the opportunity to film coaches video for football games and practices and assist in filming live events for the Mountain West Network. Training is provided to full-time qualified students that have a strong desire to excel and that are self-motivated. Qualified applicants will occasionally travel with the football team to different away games during the fall semester. More details will be provided as to the times, days, and locations during the interview process. This is your chance to become part of the rich tradition within Utah State Athletics while gaining a professional skill set.

 

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must be available starting approximately the last week of July or first week of August through the beginning of May. You must be available for practices in the afternoon between 1:30pm-6:30pm for the fall semester and in the mornings between 7:30am-12:30pm for the spring semester. Must be willing to work some non-traditional hours which could include some weekends, some Sunday's (depending on the event), and possible holidays when needed. 

Must be able to:

  • stand or sit for long periods of time
  • lift 50 lbs or more as needed
  • have a passion and understanding of football and various sports
  • identify all football positions
  • work well under pressure
  • be a team player
  • communicate effectively
  • occasionally climb ladders and be comfortable with heights
  • work in various weather conditions

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Utah State University Athletics Video department is to provide quality video in the most efficient and effective manner and to ensure student athletes and coaches the best possible evaluation tool used in the development of student athletes. This service will provide the best quality video using the latest state of the art video editing programs and equipment. In addition to keeping this service up to date with the latest technology, the video department will continue to ensure the safety of student athletes by complying with the rules and regulations set by the NCAA, the Mountain West Conference, and Utah State University.
