Volunteer Tutor
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Reading Partners is a national education nonprofit that works with Title I elementary schools to provide kindergarten through fourth-grade students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by the fourth grade. We are a data-driven, evidence-based program. Regular assessments and rigorous studies consistently demonstrate that our curriculum is highly effective in improving students’ reading skills.
Reading Partners is seeking in-person and virtual tutors to support our students starting in the Fall of 2025. Tutoring with Reading Partners requires no teaching experience, as we provide initial training, all necessary materials, and ongoing support. Reading Partners offers flexible hours by working closely with tutors to determine the optimal tutoring schedules, with sessions running Monday through Thursday during the school day (8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.). You can watch this video to get an inside look at one of our reading centers or check our website using this link.
