Summer Bridge Program Instructor (Math or ELA)
Location: 2141 Seward Avenue
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM | July & August
Compensation: Based on experience and certification
Equality Charter School is seeking dynamic and dedicated educators to join our Summer Bridge Program, designed to help rising 9th grade students transition successfully into high school. Instructors will teach either Math or English Language Arts (ELA) and play a key role in strengthening students’ foundational academic skills and confidence.
Program Schedule:
The program runs Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM throughout July and August. Exact program dates will be shared during the interview process.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, grade-appropriate lessons in Math or ELA
Support students academically and emotionally as they prepare for high school
Use differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Monitor and communicate student progress with program leadership
Create a supportive and motivating classroom environment
Desired Traits:
Strong instructional skills in either Math or ELA (Grades 8–9 level)
Experience teaching or working with middle and/or high school students
Commitment to educational equity and student growth
Approachable, compassionate, and responsive to student needs
Creative, flexible, and able to adapt quickly in a summer program setting
Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
