About the Campaign
Join a history-making, grassroots campaign to support Prasad Anguluri, the first Indian-American elected to Bothell City Council. We're building momentum around a bold vision: creating S.P.A.C.E. for everyone to thrive—Safety, Purposeful Planning, Affordable Housing, Connected Communities, and Equity.
Internship Overview
We’re seeking a passionate and organized Political Intern to support the campaign across several vital areas—from communications and fieldwork to data targeting and endorsements. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with seasoned political advisors and gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of campaign operations.
What You’ll Help With
Depending on your skills and interests, your responsibilities may include:
1. Messaging & Communications
* Assist with speech drafts, talking points, and social media messaging
* Collaborate on email campaigns and newsletters
* Help prepare candidate for media appearances and public forums
2. Field Organizing
* Recruit and coordinate volunteers for canvassing, phone banks, and events
* Maintain voter contact lists and canvassing maps
* Support outreach to underserved neighborhoods and local organizations
3. Fundraising
* Help draft donor outreach emails and thank-you notes
* Assist with donor database management and fundraising event logistics
* Track contributions and identify follow-up opportunities
4. Social Media & Email
* Create and schedule social media posts
* Monitor engagement and suggest content optimizations
* Support content for email blasts, graphics, and volunteer updates
5. Strategy & Data Targeting
* Participate in strategic brainstorming sessions
* Help analyze voter data and demographic trends
* Support micro-targeting efforts for digital and field campaigns
6. Endorsements & Stakeholder Outreach
* Assist with endorsement tracking and follow-ups
* Help schedule meetings and prepare briefing materials
* Maintain relationships with community leaders and allied organizations
Ideal Qualities
* Strong writing and communication skills
* Passion for civic engagement, diversity, and equity
* Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
* Comfort with spreadsheets, social media tools, and Google Workspace
* Willingness to work evenings/weekends during peak campaign periods
