Summary of Job Duties:

The Research Technician will investigate the interactions between resource quality, developmental environment, and offspring phenotype. The Research Technician will work 40 hours a week to help in general lab maintenance and research activity. This will include animal husbandry, data collection, data entry and storage, sample analysis, data analysis, manuscript writing, and help organizing and participating in outreach events. Other duties as assigned .

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

BS in biology, ecology, or related discipline conferred by the start of employment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with birds or reptiles

Experience running an independent research project

Some training in bench skills (e.g., qPCR, immunoassays, EIA)


Additional Information:

 

This is a 1-year  appointment, renewable based on the need for the position, availability of funding, and continued satisfactory level of performance in the role. 


Salary Information:

$36,300
