Videographer & Video Editor – Podcast Studio (Onsite)

Location: Suite.Legal, LLC  – Livingston, NJ
Position Type: Part-Time or Internship (Onsite)

About the Role

The Law Office of Barry E. Janay, P.C. is seeking a motivated and creative Video Editor & Camera Operator to help launch and support our new in-house podcast studio. This is an onsite opportunity for someone interested in hands-on video production, camera operation, and post-production editing within a professional legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate cameras and audio equipment during live podcast recordings in our newly converted conference room studio.
  • Set up, test, and break down video and audio equipment before and after sessions.
  • Collaborate with hosts and guests to ensure optimal camera angles, lighting, and sound quality.
  • Edit podcast video and audio footage for clarity, engagement, and brand consistency.
  • Add graphics, lower thirds, intro/outro segments, and other post-production elements as needed.
  • Manage and organize digital files for efficient workflow and future reference.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently during recording sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with camera operation (DSLR, mirrorless, or professional video cameras).
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Familiarity with basic audio recording and editing.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Punctuality and professionalism in a client-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with podcast or live-stream production.
  • Knowledge of lighting setups for video.
  • Interest in legal topics or professional podcasting.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Flexible, part-time hours based on podcast recording schedule.
  • Competitive hourly rate or internship credit (to be discussed during interview).
