
Senior Technical Support Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for comprehensive Tier 1-3 technical support to the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and its Affiliates. This role acts as a "mini IT Director," taking ownership of technical issues, managing external IT vendors and service providers, and ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the organization's IT infrastructure. The specialist will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from daily support and troubleshooting to contributing to IT strategy and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-call resolution for hardware/software issues.
- Manage IT contractors and service providers.
- Support Active Directory, Office 365, Network, VMware, and Windows Server.
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Accounting Software, etc.
- Analyze/monitor SQL database integrity.
- Evaluate/recommend new technologies.
- Develop technical documentation.
- Assist with software/server updates.
- Build/maintain SSRS reports.
- Manage GPOs, DNS, Firewall/Routers.
Skills:
- Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of network security, IT best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Prerequisites:
- Related 4-year degree preferred.
- 3+ years help desk and system administration experience.
- Experience with: AD, O365, SQL, VMware, Azure/AWS, scripting, GPOs.
- Physical ability to handle hardware equipment and lift up to 15 pounds.
