General Summary: Living Waters is a Bible-based, mission-focused congregation that encourages a vibrant spiritual life to be shared within the congregation and in daily life. The Worship experience at Living Waters is a unique blend of contemporary and traditional elements of worship and music.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Is able to lead vocally and instrumentally with guitar and/or keyboard in a multigenerational church.
  • Has a background in both contemporary and traditional music and worship styles.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn how to use Planning Center, ProPresenter, and Multitracks software.
  • Willing to learn how to use our audio, visual, Livestream, and lighting equipment and to train others.
  • Knows how to prioritize tasks, create schedules, and perform tasks in a timely manner.
  • Is self motivated having the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster teamwork in a positive atmosphere.
  • Possesses excellent organizational, administrative, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Handles emergencies when they arise.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Worship or Music or similar degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience serving on a worship team.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main Worship Leader, vocalist, and instrumentalist for worship services.
  • Create weekly worship plans in collaboration with the pastor.
  • Integrate musical components so the whole worship service connects with the message, Bible passages, and liturgical season.
  • Schedule vocalists, musicians, and audio-visual teams.
  • Select songs, create sets, print music charts, prepare Multitracks, and create ProPresenter slides.
  • Post worship plans in Planning Center and send out to worship teams.
  • Prepare the altar area and set up all equipment for rehearsals and worship services.
  • Schedule and lead regular rehearsals with vocalists and musicians for all services.
  • Maintain communication with team members about upcoming events and new music.
  • Shepherd worship team members through devotion and prayer.
  • Prepare and lead special worship services and events (Advent/Lent/Holy Week/Worship Nights).
  • Provide musical and technical support for prayer services, weddings and funerals.
  • Perform other duties as they relate to Worship and Music as assigned by the Pastor.
  • Assist with music and lyrics display for Wednesday night children’s ministry.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
  • Inventory, organize, and order worship materials within budgetary guidelines.
  • Submit monthly expense voucher and receipts for all purchases to Pastor for approval.
  • Pursue professional and personal development.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  •  Base Salary Range: $43,000 - $48,000 depending on qualifications, experience, and education.
  •  Retirement contribution of 3% of the base salary.  This is a taxable contribution for employees to use for their own retirement plan.
  • Healthcare Allowance is a taxable stipend to be used by employees to support insurance premiums and health care costs.
  1. Without Dependents:  1 - 1.25% of the base salary per month
  2. With Dependents:        2 - 2.25% of the base salary per month
  • Overall Pay With Benefits would range from $49,450 - $62,400.

  • Living Waters is a growing, multigenerational church.
  • Average weekly attendance is 120.
  • Worship Team consists of about 35 worship and technical volunteers.
  • Music is contemporary, usually led by a full band utilizing music by artists such as Elevation Worship, The Worship Initiative, Shane & Shane, Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, Phil Wickham, and incorporating traditional hymns.
  • Substantial growth in young families and frequent visitors.
  • Living Waters is affiliated with Lutheran Churches in Mission for Christ (LCMC).
  • Our approach to ministry is from a position of grace and humility which emphasizes God’s grace through faith in Christ, the cross, and community.
