About Mineola Athletic Association Soccer:
Mineola Athletic Association Soccer is part of a community-driven youth sports organization dedicated to fostering athletic skill, teamwork and sportsmanship in Mineola. Our soccer program serves youth players through both recreational and competitive leagues, promoting a lifelong love of the game.
Position Summary:
We’re looking for a Social Media Intern to support the growth and visibility of MAA Soccer. This role is perfect for a college student or recent graduate with an interest in sports management, soccer marketing, or digital media. The intern will help maintain an active and engaging social media presence and support communications around key events and announcements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage social media content specific to MAA Soccer (Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.)
- Post marketing blasts for game days, registration, camps, clinics, and community events
- Highlight players, teams, tournaments, and milestones throughout the season
- Capture or organize photos and updates from coaches or parents (attendance at games optional)
- Track engagement and recommend ways to grow MAA Soccer’s digital presence
Ideal Candidate:
- Studying or recently graduated in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Passionate about soccer and youth sports
- Strong writing and visual communication skills
- Familiar with social media tools (Canva, TeamSnap etc.)
- Organized, proactive, and able to work independently
