ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Social Media Intern at BLUE RIDGE MB, you will play a key role in growing our online presence through engaging and visually compelling content. This is an ideal position for a motivated individual who is eager to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing while contributing to a local niche business.

This position requires an individual with a keen eye for content creation and at least a general understanding of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Reporting directly to the Owner, your position will be instrumental in elevating BLUE RIDGE MB's digital presence, driving engagement, and effectively communicating the prestige of these vintage and current Benz beauties.

ABOUT BLUE RIDGE MERCEDES:

Established by Jonathan Hodgman in 2003. After experiencing Mercedes Benz's impressive engineering first-hand during his college years, Jonathan Hodgman of Blue Ridge MB fell in love with them. In 2003, he began repairing Mercedes cars out of his garage for clients who still trust him today. Today, Blue Ridge MB handles everything from regular maintenance to full restorations for 1970s – current Mercedes-Benz vehicles, with a special focus on pre-merger AMG models.

From the Owner: “I started this back in my parents’ garage back in Virginia fixing and rebuilding my own 560SEL. Fell in love with the marque and been involved in all things Mercedes ever since!”

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to craft narratives that reflect BLUE RIDGE MB’s brand values and resonate with our target audience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• A passion for the automotive industry, particularly vintage and Mercedes

PLUS….

1 or more years of experience with:

• Social media marketing and content creation, specifically with expertise in producing, shooting, and editing engaging content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok
• Digital content creation, including shooting and editing video content, including experience with design tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar software.
• Crafting and implementing social media strategy on platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work onsite most of the time
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop
