Tax Program Representative

The Reemployment Assistance Division is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to serve as a Tax Program Representative. This role involves conducting investigations and enforcing compliance with state laws, rules, and regulations related to the Reemployment Assistance Program. Core responsibilities include:

  • Establishing new employer accounts.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of quarterly wage reports and state taxes.
  • Investigating discrepancies in wages and earnings, including following up on tips or leads.
  • Communicating directly with employers to gather information and ensure compliance.
  • Participating in collection processes to recover payments due.

The Ideal Candidate:

Will be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of:

  • Principles and procedures of accounting
  • Business management practices
  • Collection techniques
  • Computer and software applications

Ability to:

  • Interpret and apply information, laws, and rule
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to include grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Communicate information clearly and concisely
