Account Receivable Specialist

ANDON Specialties, Inc. is searching for an Account Receivable Specialist to support the accounting department from our office in Houston, TX.


 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Responsibilities:

  • Own the A/R Cycle - Responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization
  • Generate and post accurate, timely invoices
  • Build professional rapport with customers to accelerate payment
  • Spot bottlenecks, document best practices, and help automate routine tasks
  • Support in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department
  • Researching and solving payment discrepancies
  • Working with internal and external customers
  • Delivering the best service in a professional and ethical manner

  • Self- starter who can work independently and part of a team
  • High level of personal integrity

HOW TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE? Preferred experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred
  • 3-5 years hand-on A/R experience, B2B collections experience
  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochem, industries
  • Previous experience entering invoices into customer portals, ie. Ariba, Coupa
  • Previous experience with Prophet 21, a plus
  • Excel power-user; comfortable with pivot tables, VLOOKUP
  • Prior team lead experience
