Administrative Assistant [1520]
PG County government office seeks a temporary-to-permanent Administrative Assistant to provide strong operational and administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate travel logistics, schedule meetings, and maintain an internal calendar.
- Greet visitors and direct incoming calls to appropriate departments and personnel.
- Prepare invoices and edit reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Maintain digital and hard-copy filing systems.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages.
- Track inventory and restock common areas.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and maintain office equipment.
- Provide project management support by establishing deadlines and updating project status.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effectively manages and prioritizes tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Strong initiative, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Familiarity with standard office practices and procedures.
- Excellent software skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative support role.
Rate: $20-$22 per hour while temping
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year once permanent.
