Warehouse Inventory Controller I

General Description:

Warehouse Inventory Controller to control all material in a warehouse environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain materials & hardware (e.g., screws, bolts, washers) by keeping them identified, located, and preserved in accordance with contractual requirements and ISO procedures.
  • Process material & hardware to be stocked, physically moving to locations, then making corresponding transactions in Costpoint to maintain location control of all material.
  • Kit material & hardware to Manufacturing Orders in accordance with Pick Lists, then enter corresponding issues in Costpoint to track the release of inventory to the production floor
  • Manage the de-kitting/re-kitting requirements to track non-conforming product as it is discovered in the production process
  • Support material & hardware accountability to include receiving, stocking, kitting, cycle counting, year-end inventory, shipping and warehousing functions
  • Process incoming Government repair assets-inventory, identification and reporting in multiple Government databases (CAV and GFP module) and Costpoint
  • Assist with material & hardware planning requirements and operations
  • Perform condition assessment of incoming material upon receipt
  • Database input on multiple levels
  • Ability to work in an energetic and fast-paced environment
  • Ensure compliance in accordance with Supply Chain ISO processes and procedures

Work Experience Requirements:

Experience working independently or in a team environment.

Educational Requirements (or equivalent):

High School Diploma

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment, steel toe shoes required must be able to lift 70 lbs. Will require the use of the following:

  • Stair Step Ladder with Rails
  • Ladder – all types
  • Forklift
  • Electric Pallet Jack
  • Manual Pallet Jack
  • Step Stool

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deadline conscious

Beneficial Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience using a Costpoint & Material Resources Planning (MRP) system
  • Database input and manipulation
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word Skills - Proficient in MS Office products
  • Costpoint Knowledge a plus
  • Forklift/Pallet jack experience
