Research Associate

Retham Technologies, Inc. is developing a novel diagnostic ELISA assay for a severe blood clotting disorder. 

Job Title: Research Associate

Job Summary:  We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated biological laboratory Research Associate to support our research and development, manufacturing, and commercialization efforts. This position involves the performance and manufacturing of ELISA assays, including assay development, optimization, validation, and routine production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with immunoassay techniques, strong laboratory skills, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a regulated environment. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality assay performance and product consistency. Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to learn and contribute.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Execute experimental plans; gather, prepare, and analyze data.
  2. Work at the laboratory bench and in an office environment.
  3. Document research and development activities according to standard company practices.
  4. Prepare chemical stock solutions.
  5. Maintain internal laboratory databases.
  6. Be proficient in Microsoft Office software suite.
  7. Comply with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
  8. Operate laboratory equipment; contribute to laboratory maintenance.
  9. Manufacture product, following standard operating procedures and document processes as trained.
  10. Perform quality control assays following standard operating procedures and document processes as trained.
  11. Perform a variety of assays, tests, and studies of a routine and non-routine nature.
  12. Perform calculations and statistical analysis of research data; collate and share results; maintain detailed experimental notes.

 

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, or a related scientific discipline, with a minimum of two years prior laboratory experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Documented training and experience in performing immunoassays.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.   Ability to work at lab bench, biosafety cabinet, or fume hood for extended periods of time.

2.   Ability to wear standard laboratory protective gear (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses, etc.).
