High School Math Teacher and Volleyball Coach
All Saints Episcopal School seeks an experienced and enthusiastic full-time High School Math Teacher and Volleyball Coach (Tyler, TX) able to engage students in meaningful inquiry, critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative exploration. The candidate should be able to prepare course materials such as syllabi, notes, homework assignments, quizzes, exams, and handouts. Deliver lectures on on-level, honors and AP mathematics courses, such as Geometry, Pre-calculus, and Statistics. Evaluate and grade students’ classwork, homework, quizzes, and exams-Plan, evaluate, and revise course content, course materials and methods of instruction. Tend to students’ questions and concerns during and outside of class time. Nurture strong relationships with students in and out of the classroom and with student athletes in and out of the volleyball court.
The ideal candidate should:
Bachelor’s in Education or Mathematics + 6 months of experience in teaching math and valid teaching license/certification.
Knowledgeable about volleyball or previous playing experience is required.
Must possess a teaching and coaching philosophy that embraces the mission and core values of our Faith.
A passion for working with children while demonstrating knowledge of best practices as an educator.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A mastery of developmentally-appropriate instructional strategies.
Enthusiasm for working in an academic environment that encourages students to seek their full potential.
