MIP Mesa Teaching Intern (Fall 2025)
Internship Title: MIP Teaching Intern (College-Level, Applicable for High School Teaching as well) (Fall 2025)
Location: San Diego Mesa College, Department: English
MIP Mentor: Anthony Lince, English Faculty
This internship is unpaid-for college credit. Hired applicants will receive a one-time $1000 payment for completion of work and MIP Program.
Program Duration: Fall 2025 - Approximately 8/25/25 - 12/20/25 - Minimum of 54 hours

Description: Are you interested in a career as a high school teacher or college professor? Consider becoming a teaching intern to gain valuable classroom experience! In this role—with the guidance of a college professor—you will learn how to provide assistance to students, create lesson plans, and offer feedback on student work. This opportunity is open to all majors.
Work Roles / Tasks:
- Classroom Support: Assist students during group work, facilitate group activities
- Feedback on Student Work: Under the instructor’s guidance, provide individual feedback on student work
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the instructor on lesson planning and lead at least one lesson during the semester
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized
- Communication Skills: A willingness to develop strong verbal skills and communication skills; ability to connect with and support students from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Adaptability: Willing to be flexible in responding to changing classroom and student needs
