Project Engineer I

Position Title: Project Engineer I

Work Location: Maumee, Ohio

Pay Range: $95,000 - $105,000

Relocation Reimbursement Available!

As a member of the Group Engineering organization, provide engineering expertise and input to the development and execution of process optimization activities, CAPEX measures, and projects (or their subprojects) within defined budget, timeline, and quality parameters across the Americas regions. 

Job Duties:

  • Plan and execute the defined scope of process development and optimization activities, CAPEX measures, and projects (or their subprojects) within budget, time, quality, and safety parameters
  • Prepare project approval documentation.
  • Carry out all project phases, from project idea to scoping, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up
  • Prepare relevant designs, cost estimates, time schedules, resource plans, risk analysis incl. HAZOPs, change orders etc.
  • Coordinate project work with relevant interfaces (internal + external) such as R&D, Operations, EHS, Maintenance, Legal, M&A, Procurement, authorities, suppliers, contractors etc.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal and external best practices, guidelines, regulations, and legislation
  • Select and manage engineering consultants & contractors
  • Specify and select services, machinery, equipment, etc.
  • Ensure appropriate project + technical documentation
  • Participate in post-completion project evaluation (KPIs, lessons learned, etc.)
  • Evaluate opportunities, carry out process studies and process optimization, - evaluate opportunities, carry out process studies, process optimization, troubleshooting, and safety/reliability improvements

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • One to five years work experience in project engineering or comparable technical roles, direct project experience desirable
  • Knowledge of chemical processing, griding and dispersing technology
  • SAP knowledge desired
  • MS Office & Project required
