Summer Intern, Finance

The Role 

The next chapter of CCR is one of high growth. The CFO’s team is responsible for all Accounting, FP&A, Tax and Treasury matters at CCR and provides critical resources to support timely business and investment decisions based on accurate information, and to communicate results with stakeholders.  CCR is seeking collaborative, highly motivated self-starters to join as Summer Associates and receive a unique experience working across the CFO team to gain a well-rounded, strategic finance exposure within the expanding renewables industry.   

  

The right candidates will have an opportunity spend the summer focusing on:  

  • Financial Modeling: Review, update and create complex financial models and perform financial analysis to evaluate business performance, investment returns, liquidity needs and portfolio impacts.
  • Business Intelligence and Data Analytics: Develop and improve data dashboards to clearly communicate results.
  • Process Improvement.  We have a mindset of continuous improvement.  The candidate will have support developing process improvements to drive better operational efficiency and to improve bottom line results.
  • Renewable Energy Technology Exposure: Gain a deeper understanding possible only through a developer’s lens of the high-growth sectors in utility scale solar, distributed solar, and battery storage.
  • Valued Skillset Buildout – Financial modeling, sharp communication, executive storyboarding for presentations, and data dashboarding.

 

Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a BA or an MBA
  • Understands accounting, finance, financial modeling and data analysis fundamentals
  • Previous finance or renewable energy experience a plus
  • Results-oriented, with strong critical and creative thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communicating skills with ability to present complex topics to various audiences
  • Excellent ability to write proposals and memos in a clear and concise manner
  • Interest in pursuing a post-graduate career participating in the energy transition, either as an investor or working for an operating company developing projects

 

Timing: The position will be available for a 12-week period from June to August.  The candidate will be expected to work 40 hours a week. 

  

Location: This candidate will be based out of our Washington DC office. We are on a hybrid in-office schedule 

  

Compensation: The hourly rate for our Graduate/MBA internships is $30-$35/hr and Undergraduate $20-$25/hr.
