Graphic Designer for Callix Research & Culture Ecology Research Institute

We are seeking a talented and efficient graphic designer to assist with occasional projects for Callix Research and the Culture Ecology Research Institute. This is an on-site, part-time role, ideal for someone experienced with the Adobe Suite and capable of delivering high-quality work quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the team to translate designs into digital format.

Complete figures for a scientific journal article (first project).

Modify illustrations for a book project that explores cultural ecology (additional project).

Assist with building and designing a Squarespace website (a plus).

Collaborate and take direction to ensure design meets project specifications.

Meet deadlines with a fast turnaround.

Requirements:

Excellent proficiency in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

Ability to come to the Carrboro office (scent-free environment).

Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience in scientific or technical design, book illustrations, and website building (Squarespace) is a plus.

Compensation: $20–$28 per hour, depending on experience.
