Estimator Commercial Construction

At Hanlin Rainaldi Construction, we’re growing—and we’re looking for an estimator who wants to grow with us.

Whether you have a few years of experience in estimating or you're coming from another industry and ready to dive into commercial construction, we’ve got the team, training,  and mentorship to support you. Our Preconstruction leaders are experienced, collaborative, and focused on doing great work—together, and we need help!

We build everything from ground-up buildings to fast-paced tenant improvements across Central Ohio and beyond. As part of our estimating team, you’ll help shape projects from the start: digging into plans, talking with subcontractors, reviewing scope, and building accurate, thoughtful budgets that help us and our clients succeed.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for a variety of commercial projects
     
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and related documents
     
  • Connect with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope clarifications
     
  • Work with our PreCon and Project Management teams to align budgets and schedules
     
  • Research materials and construction methods to support value engineering
     
  • Use estimating tools (Bluebeam, Building Connected, Excel, and others) to organize your work and present it clearly
     

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years in estimating, project coordination, or another construction-related role — OR —  transferable experience from another industry and a strong interest in advancing
     
  • Solid attention to detail and the ability to work independently and within a team
     
  • Confidence picking up the phone to ask questions and building rapport with our vendors
     
  • Familiarity with commercial construction a plus, but not required
     
  • Willingness to learn and grow—we’ll provide the tools and mentorship
