IT Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated IT Assistant to join our dynamic IT team. The IT Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the bank's IT infrastructure and ensuring seamless operation of various systems critical to our daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support to internal staff, assisting with hardware, software, and network-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and administration of IT systems, including servers, workstations, and peripherals. Conduct regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and data security.
- Azure/O365 Management: Manage and maintain local and remote users as well as troubleshooting issues. Policy creating to help meet or exceed industry standards in both security and functionality.
- Regulatory Requirements: Perform IT risk assessments, track and remediate audit exceptions, and maintain accurate audit tracking systems to ensure compliance with FFIEC, FDIC and State regulations as well as company policies.
- User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various IT platforms. Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Asset Management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Assist in procurement processes and asset tracking to optimize resource utilization.
- Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, manuals, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and training for end-users and IT staff.
- Security Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and analyzing security logs and alerts to identify potential security threats or breaches. Collaborate with the IT security team to implement appropriate measures for threat prevention and response.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support technology initiatives, projects, and upgrades. Participate in meetings, discussions, and training sessions as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the IT infrastructure and support functions. Propose and implement solutions to enhance productivity and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in an IT support role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Microsoft Azure and O365 admin experience.
- Patch Management and vulnerability research/repairs.
- Mobile device management for both internal and remote users.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security principles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Fiserv suite of products is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
