Position Overview
We’re looking for an Automotive Test Engineer Intern to join our Radar Engineering team. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience testing the latest radar systems and support the development of tools, procedures, and processes that ensure quality and performance. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing an engineering degree to apply classroom knowledge to real-world radar applications in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
1. Support Test Planning and Setup
Assist in developing and reviewing test plans and procedures
Help set up test environments, including hardware test benches and lab instrumentation
Work alongside experienced test engineers to understand technical requirements and project goals
2. Perform Testing and Collect Data
Execute functional and performance tests on radar components and systems
Document test results, observations, and unexpected behaviors
Help analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, or potential issues
3. Contribute to Automation and Tool Development
Assist in developing automated test scripts and test tools
Learn to use testing frameworks and scripting tools for data capture and analysis
Work with engineers to integrate automated testing into the product development workflow
4. Maintain Test Equipment
Help with routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
Track and document test hardware usage and calibration records
Report and troubleshoot equipment issues under guidance
5. Collaborate Across Teams
Work closely with engineering, software, and quality assurance teams
Participate in meetings to share progress and contribute to problem-solving discussions
Learn and grow through mentorship, feedback, and exposure to a real engineering environment
What We’re Looking For
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field that is a Junior or Senior
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Basic understanding of electronics and testing principles
Familiarity with Linux, Microsoft Office, and/or Google Workspace
Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Strong communication skills—written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.) is a plus
Ability to travel is a bonus, but not required
