Your day as a Facilities Manager
As the Facilities Manager at United Way for Southeastern Michigan, your daily responsibilities will revolve around maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for team members and visitors. You can expect to oversee facility maintenance, including scheduling repairs, coordinating cleaning services, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will manage vendor relationships, oversee space utilization, and develop strategies for sustainable facility operations. Additionally, you'll conduct regular inspections and address any urgent issues that arise, fostering a proactive approach to facility management.
Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility required for occasional nights and weekends to accommodate special events, emergencies, or facility needs. This role demands a hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills, making each day a new opportunity to contribute to our mission.

Requirements:
o Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
o 3+ years' experience in facilities (facilities management preferred)
o Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
