Accountant/Financial Analyst

Classification: Business Analyst

Work Hours: 40+ hours / week: M - F

About the Role:  Do you want to play a role in driving financial insights and operational excellence? As an Accountant/Financial Analyst at KUB, your primary responsibilities will include leading budgeting and forecasting efforts, conducting detailed cost studies, and analyzing complex financial data to inform decision-making. You'll be involved in preparing journal entries, financial statements, and grant reimbursement requests, as well as developing comprehensive reports and spreadsheets. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners. It’s an ideal fit for someone with a strong background in corporate or public accounting or finance who thrives on precision, analysis, and meaningful impact. Quality performance, flexibility, and excellent customer service are required.

 

Qualifications

 

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field such as accounting, finance, economics, or business analytics from an accredited four-year college or university

Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data

Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and team skills

Ability to work independently and prioritize projects to meet deadlines

Experience and proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel

Maintain a valid driver's license

Preferred Requirements: 

CPA, CMA, or advanced degree in applicable field

Three (3) years experience in relevant field

Experience in the utility industry
