Sales Intern - Fenix Commerce

Position Overview

The Sales Intern will play a vital role in supporting the FenixCommerce sales team across various stages of the sales cycle. This includes assisting with lead generation, market research, prospect outreach, CRM management, and preparing sales materials. This hybrid internship offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual looking to gain hands-on experience in B2B software/technology sales within the fast-paced e-commerce sector and learn from a seasoned team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying and qualifying potential new sales leads through market research, industry databases, online tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator), and other relevant resources.
  • Support the sales team in prospecting efforts, which may include drafting targeted email communications, preparing call outlines, and engaging in initial outreach.
  • Help maintain and update our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g., [mention your CRM if you want, like Salesforce, HubSpot]) with accurate and detailed prospect and client information.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of sales presentations, proposals, case studies, and other sales enablement collateral.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and new opportunities for FenixCommerce.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, such as scheduling meetings, organizing sales documents, and coordinating follow-ups.
  • Actively participate in sales team meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Develop a strong understanding of FenixCommerce’s product suite, services, and effectively articulate their value proposition to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other internal teams on projects and initiatives that support sales objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the sales department.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
  • A genuine interest in a sales career, e-commerce, and technology solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and possess a strong desire to learn and contribute.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with CRM software is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to our San Jose office for in-person workdays as part of the hybrid model.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid internship based in our San Jose, CA office. The successful candidate will be expected to work 2-3 days per week in the office and the remainder remotely, subject to team needs and company guidelines. FenixCommerce will provide the necessary tools and resources for both in-office and remote work.
