Outsourcing Management Associate (contract role)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Outsourcing Management Associate to join our gRED team in Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting procurement activities, assisting with outsourcing relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies, and optimizing processes to support the efficient and timely delivery of research materials, services, and external collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in validating and processing purchase orders to ensure completeness and compliance with procurement policies.
- Manage purchase order creation, change orders, closures, and cancellations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and resolve discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Participate in the invoice reconciliation process, working closely with the Accounts Payable team to resolve any outstanding issues.
- Help manage and maintain the contract and invoice repository, ensuring all contracts and invoices are organized and easily accessible for future reference.
- Assist in managing contracts, budgets, and timelines with external partners, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with scientists, Research Contracts Group, and Procurement to ensure seamless integration of outsourced activities into overall project plans.
- Monitor and review the progress of outsourced research activities, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to agreed-upon milestones.
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making, providing accurate and timely reports.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing solutions to optimize procurement activities.
Need to have:
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or no degree with commensurate experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or outsourcing support, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong attention to detail is a must.
- Integrity with respect to compliance is a must.
- Strong analytical skills are a must.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn constantly evolving business processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Google Suite tools.
- Familiarity or interest in contract and relationship management related to procurement and outsourcing.
- Ability to work independently after initial training.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
Nice to have:
- Basic understanding of biology laboratory research and/or artificial intelligence.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in an office or laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with project management.
- Familiarity with procurement and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
