Entrepreneurship Internship (Sales and Marketing)
Want to get paid to learn what it really takes to own and operate a growing physical product business? Lumbazzi is a natural high performance men's care brand looking for 2-3 motivated, aspiring entrepreneurs (men or women) that want to learn from experience what your textbooks teach (and some things you can learn only working hands on).
My name is Ryan Lombardo and I graduated from Queens in 2015. In the last decade, I've learned directly from the founders of Quest Nutrition and Dr. Squatch (both $1B+ valuation CPG businesses) what it takes to scale and am now on my own journey to do the same!
Enough about me… here's what we will teach you:
- Sales/ Organic Marketing.
- Choosing your brand ethos, brand identity, avatar and how to target your avatar.
- Setting up your business from Day One to stand out even at a small scale.
- Choosing vendors/partnerships to drive growth from ideation to scale.
- Manufacturing processes, choosing in house vs contract/ white label manufacturing, equipment needs etc.
SALES/ ORGANIC MARKETING- The main “work” you will do.
- Learn in person, one-on-one sales. (Markets are focused on Saturday mornings to afternoon, typically finished around 1pm but we would offer other opportunities if wanted)
You will train with me at the Uptown Farmer's Market how to sell in person. Once training is complete, you will be offered your OWN market location around Uptown/ South End to further hone your skills. You will be paid for your time at the market, given unlimited performance incentives outside the market (think brand affiliate) and free product for personal use.
- Learn online, one to many sales. (e-commerce and social media)
This is up to the individual how much they want to engage with this side of the sales pipeline. We may ask you to help film certain scenes and/or generate content ideas.
We will provide a framework that has worked for us so far and suggest you to use this to create UGC (user generated content) to help drive your affiliate sales up on your favorite short form platforms.
The remaining teachings will come during one on one and/or group meetings. We will figure out what frequency is best for everyone.
If you've made it this far and are interested, we do have some final comments.
As a representative of Lumbazzi, we require you to maintain a well groomed appearance and to dress well (think going on a date clothes). You never know who you will run into and potentially build rapport with; first impressions are huge. Plus, who doesn't want to look and feel their best? It has helped me and hundreds of other guys so it can help you too!
