A Brief Overview
Under limited supervision, assist in closing Commercial Real Estate loans by working closely with borrowers, brokers, underwriters, regional managers, title companies, third-party providers, and attorneys to collect, review and approve all required due diligence documents within determined deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Work with various groups (in-house attorney, third-party report providers, RGA cash management, borrower, broker, title company, surveyor, insurance agent, borrower’s counsel and lenders) to reach the common goal of closing the loan in a timely manner
- Work closely with Legal staff to obtain good standing certificates, original documents, title commitments, surveys, and other documentation; assists in due diligence process
- Collect, review and coordinate the approval of all documentation required for closing a commercial real estate loan, including but not limited to: title, survey, leases, zoning letters, management agreements, maintenance and service contracts, organizational documents, operating statements, tax bills, insurance review, flood certifications, rent rolls
- Understand the loan parameters and document requirements and report any inconsistencies to underwriting and legal, as appropriate
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, closing binders, contracts for review, approval, and use by attorneys
- Order and monitor progress of all third-party reports. Facilitate review and approval of all third-party reports by appropriate parties.
- Process fees received as part of the application process and in connection with servicing matters and provide a reconciliation of fees received
- Coordinate travel in connection with site inspections by underwriters and regional managers
- Prepare and request wire transfers of loan funds and refunds of fees
- Initiate UCC searches, flood certificates, credit checks, OFAC searches and the preparation of third-party reports
Education and Experience
Required
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent real estate business experience
- 4+ years prior Commercial Real Estate loan closing and coordination experience
- 3+ years professional experience
- 2+ Years formal legal training or equivalent experience
Preferred
- 3-5 years experience in record management
- Certified Paralegal
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- Intermediate database experience
- Knowledge of legal terminology and methods
- Basic knowledge of accounting
- Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Intermediate knowledge and ability to perform office management
- Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability
- Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
- Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
- Ability to set goals, multitask and prioritize workload
Preferred
- LMS 2000 or other real estate tracking software applications experience

Compensation Range:
$55,850.00 - $79,800.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
