Summary of Position:
The CHR Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all non-emergency medical transportation services under the Community Health Representative Program. This role ensures safe, timely, and culturally respectful transportation for eligible patients to and from medical appointments. The Supervisor will manage CHR drivers, ensure compliance with transport policies, and collaborate with clinical, prevention, and administrative teams to support patient care continuity and public health outreach.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare or tribal community services
- Completion of IHS 100-hour CHR Training Course (or within 6 months of hire)
- CPR and First Aid certified (or within 6 months)
- Valid New Mexico driver's license; must meet Santo Domingo Pueblo vehicle insurance eligibility
- Must satisfactorily pass the FBI Fingerprint, State Check, MVR Check, and a new hire drug test.
- Fluency in Keres language preferred
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Frequent driving in rural areas and variable road conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., assist patients in and out of vehicles
- Occasional evening and weekend hours
- Office-based and field-based supervision required
