Position Overview:
We are seeking an aggressive, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Application Engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a solid understanding of technical issues. You will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, preparing quotations, following up on potential sales, and supporting our distributors. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle customer and supplier inquiries
- Prepare and submit accurate quotations
- Follow up on quotations and solicit new business
- Enter and process orders
- Place material orders with suppliers
- Prepare work orders for production
- Ensure timely deliveries by following up on material orders
- Determine optimal shipping methods (ground, air, ocean freight)
- Build relationships with distributors and locate new partners
- Provide training to distributors on our product lines
- Visit customers and distributors as needed
Qualifications:
- College degree required (Technical or Engineering degree preferred)
- Industrial sales experience is a plus (we will train the right candidate)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of accounting, manufacturing, and inventory software is a bonus
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
