District Mental Health & Well-Being Social Worker
Dates: September 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026
Tenure Track
Qualifications:
Valid New Jersey Educational Services certificate with school social worker endorsement or eligibility
Performance Responsibilities:
Assess students' backgrounds, including personal, family, and socio-economic factors, to support their educational and social well-being.
Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement individualized student support plans.
Serve as a liaison between families, staff, and community agencies to ensure access to appropriate resources and services.
Provide guidance, emotional support, and educational planning assistance to students and their families.
Facilitate social skills groups, parent support groups, and other student-centered programs as needed.
Participate in crisis response, guidance meetings, and special education planning.
Maintain accurate records and adhere to district policies and professional standards.
Support student progress by conducting regular check-ins with teachers and coordinating interventions.
Engage in professional development to stay informed on current trends and best practices.
Prepare or lead community based presentations to support the needs of families in the district.
Performs other duties within the scope of his/her employment and certification as may be assigned.
