Accounts Payable Clerk

OVERVIEW –

 

We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our TERI team!

 

The Accounts Payable Clerk plays a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations by accurately processing invoices, coordinating timely vendor payments, managing administrative responsibilities, and contributing to the success of departmental initiatives through various assignments and special projects. 

 

 

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES –

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills in interactions with staff, clients, vendors, and agency stakeholders.
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and manage multiple priorities/tasks in parallel.
  • Accurately code items such as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
  • Prepare batch check runs & wire transfers, and maintain an internal credit card payment system.
  • Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing invoices and purchase orders.
  • Assist with monthly status reports, and monthly closings.
  • Reconcile various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards.
  • File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS –

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) and/or a certificate in Non-Profit Accounting or Accounts Payable preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or mathematics strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures. 

 

SALARY –

 

$19.00 - $22.00 Hourly
