Intern, Programs and Communications
Job Description
The Penn Club of New York is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Programs and Communications Manager. This hands-on role offers valuable experience in event management, member relations, and digital communications at one of New York City's premier private clubs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, promoting, and executing club events and programs
- Support the management of the Penn Club mobile app, including content updates and member engagement
- Help with event check-in processes and on-site coordination
- Contribute to social media strategy and content creation
- Process and organize membership applications
- Conduct membership tours of the clubhouse facilities
- Implement initiatives to enhance overall membership experience
- Provide administrative support for the Programs and Communications department
Requirements:
- Current 21+ student with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency with digital platforms, social media, and Microsoft Office
- Professional demeanor and comfort interacting with high-profile members and guests
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Interest in event planning, hospitality, or membership organizations
- Previous customer service experience preferred
