Data Scientist II
Overview:
The successful candidate will work with stakeholders in the Quantitative Medicine and Genomics (QM&G) organization to update and maintain existing data resources and visualization tools and develop new dashboard solutions for evaluating target predictions against observed data.
Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain existing shiny app and Neo4J graph.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement new framework solutions for data analysis and visualization.
- Develop dashboards to evaluate the effectiveness of predictive models for clinical success against several metrics.
- Engage with experts in other departments during the development process.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end users.
- Create documentation for codebase and tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelors, (3-5 years). MS degree (0-2) or higher in a quantitative field (Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computational Genetics, Biostatistics or other field with a strong quantitative and computational background).
- Proficiency in R or Python programming.
- Experience with git.
- Experience using SQL and / or Neo4j databases.
- Experience working on HPC or cloud environment.
- Experience developing web apps in shiny or flask.
- Domain knowledge in bioinformatics and / or genetics.
- Domain knowledge in machine learning.
- Experience developing dashboards.
