R&D Pilot Lab Intern (Ingredient Sourcing + Lab Execution, under Formulator)
Key Responsibilities
- Run capsule-filling and powder-mixing equipment in our small-batch lab
- Assist with formulation trials under direct supervision of our formulator
- Source and organize ingredient samples, COAs, spec sheets, and pricing
- Contact vendors to verify kosher certification and lead times
- Record pilot batch outcomes and support lab cleanliness and process flow
- Organize ingredient inventory and digital documentation
Qualifications
- Master’s or upper-level undergraduate student at FAU
- Background in biomedical science, nutrition, chemistry, biotech, or health sciences
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, Google Drive, and communicating with vendors.
Preferred But Not Required
- Familiarity with supplements, FDA regulations, or functional ingredients
- Lab, formulation, or QA experience in a university or work setting
- Interest in product development, health optimization, or clean-label formulations
Learning Objectives

- Learn how to evaluate raw ingredients for clinical and regulatory use
