Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester Intern to assist in testing our mobile applications and backend systems. You will work closely with developers and designers to identify, document, and resolve issues. This position requires you to create test cases, perform various types of testing, and ensure our applications meet high-quality standards across both iOS and Android platforms.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain test cases for mobile applications and backend systems.
- Perform manual testing of core features, ensuring functionality across both iOS and Android platforms.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for mobile applications and APIs.
- Utilize tools like Appium for automated mobile testing.
- Test iOS applications using TestFlight and Android apps using Firebase Test Lab.
- Collaborate with developers to identify, reproduce, and document bugs using tools like Trello, Asana, or other bug-tracking systems.
- Verify and validate LinkedIn OAuth, payment gateway integrations, and database interactions.
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility and responsiveness of the application.
- Set up and execute performance testing to evaluate app stability under load.
- Provide feedback to the development team to improve product usability and quality.
Requirements
- Testing Tools: Familiarity with tools like Appium, TestFlight, and Firebase Test Lab.
- Testing Types: Knowledge of manual and automated testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
- Bug Tracking: Experience with project management or bug-tracking tools like Trello, Asana, or similar.
- Platforms: Understanding of testing differences for iOS and Android platforms.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git and GitHub to pull the latest app versions for testing.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify and document bugs, edge cases, and inconsistencies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to document test results and collaborate with the team.
Preferred Skills (Bonus Points!)
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman.
- Understanding of Firebase Analytics for monitoring app performance and user engagement.
- Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas for testing database-related functionalities.
- Knowledge of CI/CD workflows and how testing integrates into automated pipelines.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python or JavaScript) for automated test creation.
