The State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) is currently recruiting for a Processing Technician to work within the reports and records repository office for State Police investigations in Middletown, CT.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Reports & Records is the designated office for the maintenance and dissemination of State Police Investigation Reports to authorized entities.
- As the repository for State Police investigations, this position will have direct exposure to violent crimes and graphic images on a regular basis.
- Candidates must have practical knowledge pertaining to Freedom of Information and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Duties range from receiving requests at the front window, researching court verdicts, provide court testimony responsive to subpoenas, record retention and other related duties.
Middletown Position:
- This position will be working 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and may be eligible for telework upon successful completion of working test period
Troop Positions:
- Working test period will be completed in Middletown to support training.
- Locations include Troop C, E and H.
- Upon assignment at the troops, schedules could be 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Troop schedules are subject to change voluntarily or involuntarily, upon assignment to regional offices and are not eligible for telework at this time.
Note: Candidates must possess and retain a valid driver's license and be able to travel to satellite offices.
