We are seeking recent graduates in Optometry who can grow with us! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients requiring contact lenses, including refractive assessments, fittings, and follow-up care. Working collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure each patient receives the most appropriate lenses and care for their unique condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct refractive assessments and measure corneas to determine suitability for contact lens fittings.
• Collaborate with referring ophthalmologists to provide tailored contact lens solutions based on patients' conditions.
• Stay informed about advancements in contact lens technology, including soft and rigid lens options.
• Educate patients on their contact lens options, manage expectations, and address their concerns effectively.
• Fit patients with contact lenses appropriate for their specific conditions, ensuring comfort, visual clarity, and optimal fit.
• Provide follow-up care and address any issues or complications related to contact lens use.
• Identify and address any additional ocular conditions observed during the fitting process, directing patients to appropriate specialized care when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid state optometry license and the ability to practice in the region.
• Desire to acquire knowledge and expertise in contact lens fittings, including complex cases involving rigid gas-permeable and specialty lenses.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to discuss options and manage patient expectations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Commitment to gain familiarity with the latest developments in contact lens technology and fitting techniques.
• Problem-solving skills to address issues during and after the fitting process effectively.

Travel: Travel between local offices multiple days a week may be necessary.
