Engineering Co-Op/Intern
Job Title: Engineer Internship, Fall 2025
Location: 11012 Aurora-Hudson Road, Streetsboro, OH 44241
Shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
Department: Engineering
Manager: Director of Engineering
Pay rate: $23.00/hr
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern supports the engineering department by applying their skills to help solve problems. The Engineering Intern will work with and learn from the other engineers in the department. They will both contribute to projects led by other engineers, as well as lead their own projects as assigned by the Engineering Director.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating and improving manufacturing processes for burner production.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and process documentation.
- Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues to enhance productivity.
- Develop work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Participate in quality control initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support new product development (NPD) and process validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Create documentation such as lab testing reports, assembly instructions, or technical data sheets
- Investigate problems with product quality
- Measure, document, or analyze manufacturing processes
- Acquire and analyze data
- Learn the responsibilities of an engineer
- Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Current enrollment in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering program
- Ability and willingness to work in person 30-40 hours per week at our Streetsboro, OH facility
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and communications skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and/or basic machining.
- Experience testing in a lab environment
- Basic understanding of electronics
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Curiosity and initiative
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Advanced mathematical skills for calculation of design equations

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hand to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to walk long distances, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, balance, bend, and kneel. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 25 lbs.
