Software Engineer Intern
Description
We are currently seeking a Software Engineer Intern to support the development of a scalable content platform using modern JavaScript frameworks. This is an unpaid internship opportunity designed for undergraduate students seeking hands-on experience in a professional, mission-driven environment. Volunteer or community service hours may be earned.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the web development team to design, build, and maintain the organization’s website
- Implement new features and enhance existing functionality using modern web technologies
- Optimize website performance and ensure a seamless user experience across platforms
- Support website security and protect user privacy through best practices
- Participate in development sprints and organizational meetings
- Commit to a weekly workload of 5–10 hours
Qualifications
- Currently an undergraduate student studying computer science or other relevant fields
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Tailwind, or Next.js
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and openness to feedback
- Interest in financial literacy and nonprofit work
