House Band Director
Summary of the Role
The House Band Director plays a vital role in supporting the Ministry Department. This role works under the direction of the Director of Church Engagement and Ministry. The House Band initiative seeks to include children as full participants in intergenerational worship so that worship becomes a richer and more meaningful experience for everyone. The initiative seeks to form key people in the ecosystem of church worship culture: church children, children living in the emergency shelter, local churches, and children's ministry directors. This will be done through three major arenas of activity: creating content for kid-friendly worship, program implementation and structure, and convening children's ministry workers (and child representatives) for an advisory council for encouragement, resourcing, and shared learning.
