Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a driven, energetic Sales Associate to join our dynamic sales team. This full-time role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and expanding our market presence—particularly among small to mid-sized businesses, financial and educational institutions, and government agencies in the Sacramento and Bay Area.
This position will be based at our headquarters in Mather, CA, with travel primarily within the Sacramento region, along with occasional visits to the Bay Area and other locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with potential clients through cold calls, networking, and strategic outreach.
- Promote CEAR’s comprehensive ITAD, electronics recycling, and data destruction services.
- Conduct thorough client discovery, qualify opportunities, and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with new and existing clients, positioning CEAR as their trusted sustainability partner.
- Participate in industry networking events, trade groups, and associations to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
- Collaborate with the management team to forecast sales, analyze market trends, and strategize solutions for client challenges.
- Efficiently manage client accounts, promptly addressing inquiries and ensuring high client satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and service agreements to prospective clients.
- Achieve and exceed defined sales goals through effective sales pipeline management and strategic negotiation.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to provide valuable insights internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in technology services, recycling, environmental solutions, or related fields. Account Executive experience preferred.
- Proven track record of successful new client acquisition, lead generation, and sales target achievement.
- Highly motivated, confident, and results-driven with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage and build relationships quickly with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in CRM software (365 Dynamics), sales forecasting, pipeline management, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong research capabilities and familiarity with leveraging digital platforms (LinkedIn, etc.) for lead generation.
- A BA/BS degree is preferred but relevant experience will be strongly considered.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Base Salary starting at $65,000, dependent upon experience, plus commission plan and attractive performance incentives.
