Terminal X is looking for a Superstar Distribution Banker to join our Go-to-Market (GTM) team in New York, NY.

In this high-impact role, you’ll take deals from first conversation to close, partnering with leading firms and helping shape our go-to-market strategy along the way. You’ll play a key role in shaping our early sales model, driving deals end-to-end, and engaging directly with decision-makers to grow our client base. This role is ideal for someone with a strong financial background and a hunger to build—bringing deep client insight, sharp execution, and a founder-like mindset to a fast-moving AI company transforming financial services.

About the Role

Terminal X’s Distribution Bankers are former investors and bankers from top-tier financial institutions who use their domain knowledge to build deep relationships with hedge funds, private equity firms, and investment banks. Your job is to help these firms translate AI’s promise into practical outcomes—owning the relationship from initial engagement to expansion and acting as a trusted partner throughout.

You'll work across the full client lifecycle, building high-trust, consultative relationships that steer strategic AI adoption. By deeply understanding client workflows, you'll lead targeted demos and discovery sessions that connect Terminal X’s capabilities to real business needs—unlocking efficiency, alpha, and long-term value.

Our Distribution Bankers bring credibility to the table by asking the right questions, surfacing unspoken problems, and clearly articulating how Terminal X fits into the firm’s operating model. You’ll educate stakeholders through 1:1 conversations, working groups, and team briefings—making AI not just understandable, but indispensable.

What You'll Do

  • Own strategic client relationships from first touch through expansion
  • Lead discovery, deliver tailored demos, and guide firms through AI adoption
  • Map and influence decision-makers across research, investing, and operations teams
  • Translate client feedback into product insights to inform roadmap
  • Build scalable, repeatable GTM strategies alongside sales and product
  • Drive revenue growth while ensuring long-term client satisfaction

     

Who You Are

  • 2–3 years of experience at a top-tier finance firm (hedge fund, private equity, or investment bank/advisory).
  • Deep understanding of financial workflows, from investment research to transaction execution.
  • Excellent client communication and storytelling ability.
  • A strong commercial instinct and hunger to build from 0 to 1.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity with a self-starter mindset.
  • Passion for AI and understanding of LLM capabilities.
  • Bonus: Hands-on experience using LLM tools in a finance role.

Compensation

$120,000 to $150,000 (Base) + $180,000 to $220,000 (On Target Bonus) + Stock Options
